Essential oils have wonderful therapeutic properties or are just wonderful in an oil burner to freshen up a room.
MAIN METHODS OF USE
MASSAGE promotes circulation and enables you to nurture and care for yourself and others. Ratio - 1 drop of essential oil to 2ml of massage oil.
BATHING hydrates the skin and facilitates the absorption of essential oils. It helps alleviate muscle tension, fatigue and stress. Dispense 3-5 drops of essential oil to a full bath. Soak for 10 - 20 mins.
VAPORISATION allows you to create an ambience with fragrance. You can support yourself to relax, feel fresh, laugh or concentrate. Simply add 6-8 drops to the water in your candle or electric vaporizer.
COMPRESS can be used for skin care or first aid. In skin care this process involves soaking your face in aromatic water. To cleanse and hydrate. In first aid, compressing cleans and sterilizes to promote haling. Add 10 drops of essential oil to 100ml of pure water.
FOOTBATH helps you to relax quickly with ease, promoting circulation and well-being. Dispense 5 drops of essential oil to your footbath water.
DIRECT is for first aid. Dispense 2 drops onto a cotton bud and apply neat to the site.
INHALATION can help to relieve symptoms associated with physical, mental or emotional disease. Simply add 3-4 drops of essential oil into a basin half filled with hot to near boiling water. With eyes closed and head approx 30cm away from the surface, place a towel over your head and breathe deeply for 5- 10 mins.
Lime Essential Oil - Citrus aurantifolia
Description
Lime oil is useful to cool fevers associated with colds, sore throats and flu and aids the immune system while easing coughs, bronchitis and sinusitis, as well as helping asthma. Lime oil can stimulate and refresh a tired mind and helps with depression.
It can be helpful for arthritis, rheumatism and poor circulation, as well as for obesity and cellulite and has an astringent and toning action to clear oily skin and acne, and also helps with herpes, insect bites and cuts.
Bergamot (Citrus Bergamia)
